It is a globally recognized independent testing and certification system. For our acoustic lights, it means every fiber of the 100% recycled PET has been tested for over 1,000 harmful substances, ensuring it is chemically safe for humans and the environment.
Not at all. Our certified recycled PET is engineered to provide high NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) ratings. It performs identically to virgin materials but with a significantly lower carbon footprint.
Yes. This is one of the biggest benefits of this certification. Unlike traditional glass-wool or rock-wool acoustic insulation - which can cause skin irritation and requires gloves to handle - our certified PET felt is hypoallergenic and safe to touch. This makes it ideal for low-hanging pendants in busy offices or homes.
Because the fibers are synthetic (PET) and contain no organic "food" source or harmful chemical residues, they are naturally resistant to moth larvae and dust mites. The OEKO-TEX® testing also ensures there are no biological active finishes that could cause issues over time.
