Acoustic Lighting FAQs

What is the best lighting for the environment?

LED lighting is the most sustainable lighting option. LEDs use up to 90% less energy than incandescent bulbs, last over 25,000 hours (incandescent last around 1000 hours), and they generate minimal heat so less energy is wasted. LEDs contain no toxic materials and are often recyclable, helping reduce both energy use and environmental impact. Using LEDs can lower your carbon footprint one light at a time.

What is PET felt material?

PET felt also known as polyester felt is made primarily from recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic bottles. These plastic bottles are processed into fibers and then compressed to create felt sheets.

PET felt is known for being durable, versatile and sustainable with sound-absorbing / sound-damping properties. It is considered a eco-friendly material bringing new life to recycled plastic bottles diverting them from landfill and at the end of its life, it can be recycled again promoting a circular economy.
